Who is it for?

You might benefit from an EMDR Intensive, if you:

Feel stuck in a pattern, memory, or reaction that you can’t seem to shift — even though you’ve tried to move on.
Don’t have space in your diary for regular therapy sessions but still want to make meaningful progress.
Prefer to work intensively over one or two days rather than unpack things slowly over weeks or months.
Want to process a specific experience, such as a difficult breakup, loss, traumatic event, or medical experience.
Struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem or feeling ‘not good enough’, and suspect these feelings may be rooted in earlier life experiences.
Have had therapy before but feel there’s still a deeper layer you haven’t quite reached.
Need support ahead of a major life event, such as a wedding, move, or big transition, and want to feel more emotionally settled going into it.

What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured approach that helps your brain process distressing memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. It’s especially effective for trauma, anxiety, phobias and persistent negative self-beliefs like feeling not good enough, not safe, or unworthy. These can often stem from earlier experiences that still live in the background of your mind and body, even if you don’t talk about them every day.

Many people describe feeling clearer, lighter, and more in control again after EMDR, like something heavy has shifted, and they can finally move forward.

What is an intensive?

An EMDR Intensive offers extended therapy time. It is a focused way of doing therapy that gives you the time and space to go deeper without the stop-start of weekly sessions

Instead of working in weekly 50-minute sessions spread over months, an intensive offers a longer block of time (3 or 6 hours) in a single day or across two days. This allows us to get to the root of what’s been troubling you and move through it at a more natural pace, without needing to pause just as things begin to unfold.

Research shows that EMDR can lead to significant improvement in fewer sessions than traditional therapy, especially when delivered in an intensive format. Many people experience meaningful relief, clarity, and change more quickly than they expected. It can feel like something has finally shifted, even after years of feeling stuck.

An intensive is not a rushed version of therapy. It allows your mind and body the space to do deeper work, with support and care throughout.

Each intensive requires a preparation session beforehand and there is the option of a follow-up session afterwards.

Intensive sessions are available in-person, on a Friday and/or Saturday in Central London (Bank or Bloomsbury).
